HEADLINE:  Thursday turned out better than I thought it would - temperatures will well below normal - but with a little bit of sunshine it wasn't too bad.
.
Cool conditions will last into the weekend - highs mostly in the 50s and 60s as we push into Friday and Saturday - a little warmer Sunday into Monday as the next storm system takes shape.
.
Officially there are a few showers in the forecast for Sunday - will monitor.  Chances appear low at this time.
.
Better chance of precipitation - widespread precipitation will arrive towards the middle and end of next week.  Pushed it back a day - originally thought Monday night or Tuesday - appears more likely Wednesday into Friday.  Can't rule out some locally heavy rainfall again.  Will monitor.
.

We have a TON of new weather maps on the Weather Observatory web-site - these include temperatures, wind speed, dew points, heat index, barometric pressure, predicted rainfall, climate forecast, medium and long range maps, forecasts and more!  Click here

1.  Another storm system will take shape over the central United States towards the middle and end of next week.  This will bring precipitation chances back to our region.  Another widespread rain event is possible - centered on Wednesday into Thursday.  I will need to tweak the timing as new data comes in over the next few days.
.
Weekend won't be too bad - just a small chance of showers Sunday.
.
Now is a GREAT time to buy a NOAA Weather Radio.  Better to have one before storms strike than to be without one during an event.
