Remember that as a general policy, in the long range outlook, I try not to mention severe thunderstorms more than 72 hours in advance (unless the signal is so overwhelmingly convincing that it warrants a mention). I will mention thunderstorm risks and I will give as many details as possible. Also remember you can view the long range severe weather outlooks by visiting the Storm Prediction Center's web-site - click here

1. Wonderful and pleasantly mild weather will continue right on into Tuesday! These will be some great outside days. A few puffy clouds can be expected during the heating of the day. Temperatures will continue to be WELL above normal. Not quite as above normal as previous weeks - but close.
.
The next weather maker sneaks its way into our region on Wednesday and may linger for several days.
.
Showers and thunderstorms will likely occur across our region with this system. A cold front will move through the region on Wednesday night or Thursday - it is then forecast to become stationary. Some questions remain on the exact placement of the front come Friday.
.
As far as the threat for severe storms - I like to keep that in the shorter range. I would suggest monitoring, though, for updates.
.
Here are the latest 6-10 day and 8-14 day temperature and precipitation outlooks - remember this is probability based - meaning that red and orange indicates an ABOVE normal chance for above normal temperatures - the green area means that odds favor ABOVE normal precipitation.

Now is a GREAT time to buy a NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio. Better to have one before storms strike than to be without one during an event. I recommend the Midland Model 300 NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio - that is what I use here at my house!
