.

I will be running threads on the Beau Dodson Facebook page with updates as the severe weather unfolds.  I try to break these threads down into 3-4 hour threads.  That way it is easier to keep up with questions and reports.
.
It could become very active today (Wednesday) - please check radars - listen to NOAA Weather Radios - local media for your information.  I will do my best to update threads - but I STRONGLY encourage you to tune into local media for the most up to date information.
.
Remember there could be more than one round of storms today - there will likely be multiple storm chances.  So - just because one storm has passed does not mean that additional storms won't form.  They likely will.
.
We (media and National Weather Service) work as a TEAM to keep you informed.

.
A severe weather outbreak is being forecast for Wednesday and Wednesday night across our region.
.
I do expect tornado watches to be issued for our region today.  Severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings will also be possible - it is impossible to know more than 10-20 minutes ahead of time what towns or cities will be impacted by these storms - best advice is to just pay attention as the event unfolds.
.
As Jim Rasor says - BE AWARE not scared.  Great advice.  We all know the power of these storms - but the odds of any one individual home being impacted is normally quite low.  Today is one of those days that meteorologists consider to have a little more potential than most severe weather days.
.
However, with that said - severe weather is tricky and difficult to forecast.  Like winter storms - sometimes severe weather events do not unfold as we expect them to.
.
Again - bottom line - stay tuned and updated on weather conditions today.  Conditions could change rapidly - if storms develop quickly.  Have a safety plan - know ahead of time what you would do in the event damaging storms develop.
