September 12, 2011:
.
A beautiful Monday is on tap for the region - highs in the 80s. Tuesday morning lows will be in the 60s. Can't complain about those conditions!
.
We will bring another chance for rain into the picture on Tuesday night. This chance for showers and storms will continue into Thursday. A few strong storms can't be ruled out. Will monitor.
No widespread severe weather is anticipated.
.
Remember that we normally see a second peak of severe weather activity during October and November. I will be watching for signs of any pattern changes over the coming weeks that might help introduce a couple of severe weather episodes. It also appears that we will witness a second year La Nina. If so then active weather will likely be the rule into the winter and spring months. Stay tuned.
