This is the latest 5 day rainfall forecast - needless to say this is not a good situation.  Click image for larger view.  Would not be surprised to see another 1-2" rainfall (possibly more) on Tuesday into Wednesday. 





















Area residents should remember not to cross flooded roadways.

A flash flood watch is in effect through Saturday morning for the region.

Saturday:  Flash flood watch - Rain likely with thunder. Some heavy rain possible. Rain becoming more scattered in the afternoon hours.  Temperatures falling during the afternoon.
Highs: Highs in the lower 50s then temperatures falling during the afternoon hours.| Wind: Southwest winds at 10-15 mph becoming west/northwest at 15-25 mph - gusty.

Saturday night:  And showers left over will push eastward out of the area. Turning colder.
Lows: in the lower 30s | Wind: Northwest winds at 10-15 mph.

Sunday:  Partly sunny and cooler.
Highs: Highs in the upper 40s | Wind: North at 5-10 mph.

The forecast for severe or extreme weather risk for today, tonight, and tomorrow:  Chance for some strong storms on Saturday morning - heavy rain being the main threat.  Isolated pockets of severe weather possible from 1 am through 5 am.

Another rain event for next Tuesday and Wednesday and then another one the following weekend.  Rainfall totals on Tuesday  into Wednesday may be in the 1-2" range with severe storms not out of the question.
We are in a wet pattern.
