October 13, 2010:
Well, it finally rained! Rain was more widespread than expected. Not everyone received rainfall. But - a number of us did. I measured 0.55" here at the Weather Observatory. The first rainfall of the month. It is a start!
More showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop today. Locally heavy rain and lightning for those who find themselves under a cell. No significant severe weather is anticipated. A few isolated cells may once again produce hail.
There will be a little better chance for severe weather today over portions of Indiana and further east in Kentucky - although a risk has not been outlined by the Storm Prediction Center. The main threat would be hail and gusty winds.

We should have a nice weekend ahead of us.
A more active storm track is expected to develop after the 18th of the month - looks like we might even have to push that off a bit longer - will watch the trends. We will have to wait and see if there will be any severe weather risks.
