October 8, 2010: Beautiful football Friday on tap - nice weekend on the way

October 8, 2010

Rain may finally return as we push further into October - watching the time frame from around the 18th-24th.  No significant indication of any severe weather episodes in our short range forecast.

The morning weather map (click for larger view) shows that high pressure continues to dominate our local regions weather.

A beautiful Friday morning across our region.  The leaves are starting to turn and I have been witnessing a lot of yellows and reds as I travel up and down the Interstate.  Fall must be here!  It won't be long until we have to start raking the leaves.

Still a lot of dust in the air - farmers are bringing their crops in.  The drought is certainly noticeable to those with sinus problems.

A beautiful forecast for your weekend.  Still not overly impressed by the rain chances with our front early next week.  Small chances - showers.

Still watching the storm the mid-month time frame.  Will continue to monitor.  It appears we may finally start to see some rain and thunderstorms as we push further into October.  Let's hope.

Have a nice weekend
