November 20, 2010: Brief update today - I am atending weather training

November 20, 2010

I am at weather training today.  So, there will be no update.

No extreme or severe weather is expected today, tonight, or tomorrow.  0% chance.  Stay tuned for updates on next weeks event.

Check the web-site for local forecasts.  I will  update tonight for your Thanksgiving week.  Some decent rain is on the rain!!!  http://www.weatherobservatory.com/

I am still calling for rainfall totals next week in the 1/2-1" range.  Some spots may see a bit more if the front hangs up (this is for far south IL and west KY).  We need rain - so this is good news.  Most of the rain should fall on Monday night through Wednesday.  Severe weather can not be ruled out.  Stay tuned.  Then dry for Thanksgiving and Black Friday - cooler.

An active pattern is developing.  So, I believe we will see several chances for precipitation over the next 2-3 week period.  This coming rain event (for some of us) will be our fourth in 2 weeks.  Some areas to our north and west missed some of that rainfall.  We are all still hurting for rain.

We may also have to start thinking about winter precip events - soon.

Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget our holiday open house on Sunday from noon to five.
