August 31, 2011: Warm - cold front coming this weekend

August 31, 2011
 .
A fairly quiet weather pattern has been the rule over the last few days.  We will be watching a cold front approaching the region for Saturday into Sunday.  The front does not to appear to be in a hurry.  It may actually linger into Sunday night.  If this occurs then we will have to keep rain chances going, as well.

A tropical system may form in the Gulf of Mexico over the coming days.  This will help slow our weekend cold front and if the track is right then it would also spread more clouds into our region.
.
Temperatures over the next few days will be mostly in the upper 80s and lower 90s.  The cold front will bring cooler weather to the region by next week.
