HEADLINES: A strong cold front will approach our region on Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night - this cold front will trigger showers and thunderstorms across the region.
Right now it appears there will be a chance for a few showers and storms during the late morning and early afternoon hours. A second time period for showers and thunderstorms will be from 3 pm through 9 pm. A few of the storms could produce damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes.
The extent of the severe weather will depend on instability - right now it appears that instability should be fairly weak. Wind fields, however, will be strong.
Monitor updates on Wednesday afternoon and evening in the event a few storms become severe.

Now is a GREAT
time to buy a NOAA All Hazards
Weather Radio. Better to have one
before storms
strike than to be without one
during an event. I recommend the
Midland Model 300 NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio - that is what I use here at my house!
